For Water Jet Cutting Nozzles, colored zinc passivation is a metal surface treatment technology designed to improve the corrosion resistance and aesthetic appearance of galvanized layers.

By forming a colored passivation film on the galvanized layer, zinc passivation protects the metal surface, extends its service life and improves its appearance.

The specific process of colored zinc passivation involves the application of a colored passivation film to the galvanized layer. This process typically involves a chemical treatment in a chromate solution to form a chromate conversion film. This film reduces the chemical activity of the zinc and thus protects the galvanized layer from corrosion.

There are two main types of colored zinc passivation processes: trivalent chromium passivation and hexavalent chromium passivation. Both technologies have their advantages and disadvantages, for example, trivalent chromium passivation has better environmental performance but slightly lower corrosion resistance, while hexavalent chromium passivation has better corrosion resistance, but there is a certain risk in terms of environmental protection.
